The Technical Training in 2024

For four consecutive years, Ettijahat - Independent Culture, in partnership with DROSOS Foundation, announces the open call for the 2024 edition of MAHARAT: Building Careers in Performing Arts. Over 70 trainees have benefited from this program since it was launched in 2021, with 70% being able to secure freelance work or other jobs in the cultural and artistic sectors in Lebanon and the region. Targeting performing artists irrespective of their nationality residing in Lebanon, this artistic programme aims to enhance their competencies. The training programme is an eighteen-week-long curriculum that includes a weekly four-hour afternoon session or theoretical knowledge provided by experts and practitioners. Also included is a comprehensive internship component in partnership with several artistic and cultural venues in Lebanon.
