Apply Now to the Open Calls in the Context of RAWABET: Participation | Connectivity | Diversity
In 2024, and collaboration with new partner organizations, Ettijahat launched two additional frameworks of support for Arab artists who are currently based in Europe: RAWABET and ZAD.
Rawabet is a collaborative programme aimed at artists from the Arab region who have resided in Europe since 2015. The programme seeks to empower the contribution of Arab artists in European cultural scenes, ease their access to new cultural spaces and audiences, support the production of Arab-led projects in performing, musical, and multimedia arts, and revitalize narratives about the role of arts and culture in European societies while advocating for freedom of expression, breaking stereotypes, and connecting artists with professional networks.
In addition to other opportunities presented over the next three years, Rawabet recently launched an open call for Production Grants. This component offers grants valued at 12,000 EUROS each to 12 artists and artistic collectives active in the performing arts field, including theatre, dance, circus, performing acts, and music. Some of the supported projects will also have the opportunity to participate in one of Rawabet’s festivals scheduled for 2025 and 2026.

“Artistic Residency” Component within the Rawabet Programme
Our partner CNCM VOCE has launched a call for residencies which is open to musicians, composers, artists and companies with an original musical project at any stage of its creation. The residency will take place at VOCE’s facilities in Pigna (Corsica/France) in the first quarter of 2025 for a period of 7 to 10 days and will culminate in an open performance, at no cost to the local public. The artists in residence will rehearse and record a musical composition of at least 45 minutes (any number of tracks) under the guidance of VOCE’s team who will also provide equipment, venue, facilities, and professional support. Candidate artists (solo or groups of 2 to 6 members maximum) must have already released at least one album or EP, and must hold a residence permit or dual nationality authorizing them to reside in the country where they are established.
