Figures from SANAD within the Frame of AHLIYEH Initiative

Ettijahat – Independent Culture, in collaboration with Douzan Art and Culture, announces selecting 51 applications under the Exceptional Edition of the SANAD Programme to support those affected by the February 2023 Earthquake. This edition falls under the Ahliyeh initiative launched by Ettijahat in partnership with Action for Hope, among others.
Under this edition, every beneficiary would be offered up to 1500 euros in flexible support to cover livelihood and healthcare services and help them face the current exceptional circumstances. This assistance would enable them to care for their physical and mental health and their family members in the short term, empowering them to reclaim their vital roles in their communities.

Applications were received between 10 and 25 March 2023. Two selection committees were convened on 28 March 2023 and selected 51 out of 186 eligible applications. The more significant majority of applications chosen have legal problems in their current location. Due to the exceptional situation, they and their families struggle with physical and mental health issues. Applications also included some exceptional cases which require immediate support. From a gender perspective, 51% of applications were submitted by males, 43.5% by females, 3.7% by nonbinary, and 1% by transgender.

Applicant and beneficiary names, data, and personal information will be kept anonymous out of respect for a person’s right to privacy.
