Regards Publication by the Institute of Scenic, Audiovisual and Cinematic Studies (IESAV) of the Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ)

Ettijahat, in collaboration with Saint Joseph University (USJ), published six research papers in the peer-reviewed journal Regards, issued by the Institute of Scenic, Audiovisual and Cinematic Studies (IESAV) at Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ).
These six papers, originally written in Arabic between 2021 and 2022, underwent a comprehensive revision and editing process before being translated into English for republication. The papers explore various aspects of artistic transformation, analysing how artistic production has evolved in terms of genre and content. They also address broader questions related to production processes, audience reception and the ways in which meaning is constructed and conveyed through artistic works.
This joint-initiative enabled these research papers, which examined critical themes in artistic production and transformation, to engage with a global community and enrich the discourse on contemporary art and its evolving forms.
Additionally, the papers highlight artistic practices and challenges specific to the Arab region, offering valuable insights into how cultural, social and political contexts shape artistic expression. This effort not only amplifies voices from the Arab region but also fosters a cross-cultural exchange of ideas, ensuring that the unique perspectives and experiences of Arab artists and researchers are recognised and integrated into international discussions on art and culture.
