Ettijahat is pleased to share with you the first book as part of the Research Programme to Strengthen the Culture of Knowledge in its 2021-2022 edition, titled "A Decade of Arts." The book includes four research papers by Zuhar Al Jundi, Ammar Al Mamoun, Menna Allah Mansi, and Mohamed Omran. This book is part of three books that we will publish about Syrian artistic production this year, in collaboration with Mamdouh Adwan Publishing House. The books address questions about Syrian artistic production as an intensification of cultural and artistic production questions in the Arab region amidst transformation and change. Therefore, these papers are an attempt to understand the depth and dimensions of the ongoing cultural change today and to envision the future of arts in Syria in light of its engagement with the region
"A Decade of Arts" is a collection of research papers on Syrian artistic production within the Research Programme to Strengthen the Culture of Knowledge, in collaboration with the Arab Fund for Culture and Arts - AFAC, and the Arab Council for the Social Sciences.
In parallel, the 2023-2024 edition of the research programme was launched last year, with the participation of 21 researchers from Syria and Lebanon. Researchers are currently working on producing their research papers with the assistance of specialists in various cultural fields. This work will culminate in the publication of research papers and the design of a series of public discussions in the second half of 2024. In the same context, the second training session within the programme was organized from January 29th to February 2nd, 2024, in Beirut, Lebanon, with the participation of 13 researchers. During the session, work continued on scientific research methodologies and the design of detailed sessions on the topics being studied by the researchers.
