Throwback to MAHARAT’s Technical Training in 2022

Take a look back with us on the Maharat porgramme training in 2022.  A total of 20 participants were accepted into the Maharat Technical Training in the 2022 edition, with age ranges between 18 and 40 years, and profiles including camera operators, musicians, sound and light engineers, gallery curators, as well as performers and theatre students. Over the span of 4 months, and with the participation of 6 trainers, the second edition cumulated a total of 150 hours; 105 being practical and 45 being theoretical. Field work is a fundamental aspect of the training, and this edition developed an internship component in partnership with local venues.
 
The programme reflected the need for investing in technical personnel and the importance of focusing on regional expansion in the coming years, to initiate new opportunities for cultural exchange which can strengthen capacities and develop new economic models for the Arab Region, and support the diversification and profitability of the Performing Arts sector.
