Future Paths: A New Episode with Amer Matar

In this episode of the Future Paths podcast, we host the journalist and director Amer Matar. He tells us about the Ashr3 media organization and the changes in using art in community action. Matar also discusses censorship, documents in the Syrian condition, and the facets of Syrian cultural action.
“Future Paths” is a podcast series of 11 episodes recorded in 2021 with several Syrian cultural and art activists from the past decades, namely in the last 10 years. These interviews seek to offer a wide and multi-faceted discussion on the key questions and transformations that shadowed Syrian art production, and connections to the questions of the Arab region and the world. They also attempt to predict the key issues of the next period connected to Syrian culture and arts.
