In the fifth episode of the podcast "Future Paths" we host the researcher and cultural director Jumana Al-Yassiri. Al-Yassir is a freelance curator, researcher, writer and translator based in Paris. Of Syrian-Palestinian-Iraqi origins, her writing addresses topics such as writing disaster through the arts, the formation of identity in exile, and the geography of the imagined.
 
Future Paths: A Review on a Constitutive Decade is a series of 11 interviews we have conducted in 2021 with several actors in the Syrian cultural and artistic sector during the past decades, and mainly during the past ten years, to provide a wide range of reading of the most important questions for the next stage related to the production process of Syrian culture and arts and its relations with questions from the Arab region and the world. In addition, the series is an attempt to trying to anticipate the most important questions for the next period related to the production process of Syrian culture and arts.
