Danger as an Aesthetic Agent in Documentary Filmmaking is the title of a research project being conducted by Ammar Almamoun, within the seventh edition of the Research: To Strengthen the Culture of Knowledge Programme.
We met with Ammar to discuss his reasons for choosing this research subject. We also discuss the extent of Danger, and how it can influence political, economic and cultural factors, and their role in outlining the aesthetic elements
and methods of communicating the "truth", which the visual medium claims to do.

Ammar Almamoun is an author and researcher residing in Paris. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus and is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Paris 1, specializing in Cultural Studies.
