The Sadeq Jalal al-Azm Exceptional Award for Cultural Research

In recognition of the contribution of Sadeq Jalal al-Azm, the great Syrian intellectual, to Arab culture through his many important studies and essays, Ettijahat-Independent Culture has opened applications for a cultural research award in his name. The award is for Syrian and Palestinian-Syrian researchers specializing in culture and arts.

One researcher will be given the award for 5,000 USD, which will be presented for an essay on pressing issues in culture and the arts. The awarded essay will also be published in collaboration with the Mamdouh Adwan Publishing House during the second half of 2017.

Applications are open until January 31^st, 2017.
